Open classes with Tiffany Cruikshank

The open 120 min classes with Tiffany Cruikshank are part of her immersion „Yoga for Athletes“ which takes place 12th -15th of September. The classes a mix of workshop and asana classes. They include cross training & recovery practices to help support performance & resilience. The cross training portion will focus on challenging the tissues in different capacities, movements, and ranges of motion to prepare for all the possibilities in life & sport. The second part of the class will focus on recovery to support energy levels, sleep, mood, nervous system resilience, and quality of life.  Cross training is a known critical component of athletic training that is important both for sport & for life. Cross training is meant to both train the tissues for the challenges they face in their sport as well as challenge underused areas, maintain mobility and work with asymmetries. Recovery is finally at the forefront of all athletic training because it not only helps us feel & perform our best but also allows us to train harder in response to that. Recovery practices support the down regulation of the nervous system while also more passively supporting circulation using MFR, yin yoga, and breath work as our main tools.  Tiffany draws from over 28 years teaching yoga and over 20 years in Chinese Medicine with a specialty in Sports Medicine. She worked at the Nike World Headquarters in Oregon for 7 years where she created and ran the Yoga for Athletes programs in addition to the Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine offerings. Tiffany has worked with many different types of athletes from pro athletes to recreational enthusiasts who want to feel & perform their best in sport and life.
